Surah As-Sharh ( The Opening Forth) - Aya count 8

أَلَمْ نَشْرَحْ لَكَ صَدْرَكَ ﴿١﴾

Have We not expanded your chest for you (Prophet Muhammad),

وَوَضَعْنَا عَنكَ وِزْرَكَ ﴿٢﴾

and relieved you of your burden

ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنقَضَ ظَهْرَكَ ﴿٣﴾

that weighed down your back?

وَرَفَعْنَا لَكَ ذِكْرَكَ ﴿٤﴾

Have We not raised your remembrance?

فَإِنَّ مَعَ ٱلْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا ﴿٥﴾

Indeed, hardship is followed by ease,

إِنَّ مَعَ ٱلْعُسْرِ يُسْرًۭا ﴿٦﴾

indeed, hardship is followed by ease!

فَإِذَا فَرَغْتَ فَٱنصَبْ ﴿٧﴾

So, when you have finished (your prayer), labor (in supplication),

وَإِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَٱرْغَب ﴿٨﴾

and let your longing be for your Lord (in humility).
